Meet your physician
Dr. Shimshon Wiesel
Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine
I am a pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine physician, and I round daily in two Long Island intensive care units. I care for the full range of respiratory and sleep conditions, from everyday asthma to chronic respiratory failure, and I believe patients do best when they have time, clear answers, and a physician who stays with them through the hard stretches.
Originally from Brooklyn, I earned my bachelor's degree at Brooklyn College and my Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harlem. I completed my internal medicine residency and my pulmonary and critical care fellowship at Northwell, followed by a sleep medicine fellowship at NYU. I am also a partner at South Shore Pulmonary Medicine and serve as Chair of Critical Care at Episcopal Health Services.
